WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) - A West Allis police officer received minor injuries when a pickup collided with the officer’s squad car.

The crash happened Saturday night at an intersection in West Allis. The marked squad car was on routine patrol and was not traveling with its lights or sirens activated.

The truck rolled onto its roof and onto the sidewalk. A pedestrian was hurt. Authorities say the pickup driver ran away but was found by police a few blocks away.

The truck driver had minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated and hit and run.
