Mesa police: Man found in apartment was homicide victim

MESA, Ariz. (AP) - Mesa police say a 33-year-old man is a homicide victim.

Police say Matthew Joseph Hayes was found dead in his apartment over the weekend after a relative called police and said he had not heard from Hayes.

Detective Steve Berry says no arrest has been has been made and that the investigation is ongoing.

The apartment is near Dobson Road and Southern Avenue.
