SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Sierra Vista say they have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder for allegedly stabbing his roommate multiple times.

They say 64-year-old Rick Pastika also is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misconduct with weapons as a prohibited possessor.

He’s being held in the Cochise County jail on a $500,000 bond.

Police say Pastika was arrested Saturday night after 57-year-old Kurt Freeman was found stabbed multiple times in his abdomen.

It was unclear Monday if Pastika has a lawyer yet who can speak on his behalf.

Freeman is listed in stable condition at a Tucson hospital.

Police say the two men argued and alcohol was a factor in the confrontation.
