ESCONDIDO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say 10 people have been injured, some critically, after two SUVs collided north of San Diego.

Fire officials say the SUV carrying seven teenagers overturned Tuesday morning near Escondido and was hit by a second SUV carrying a woman and two children.

All managed to get out of the vehicles and were taken to hospitals. Their injuries are described as ranging from moderate to critical.
