RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Reno Police Department has increased its enforcement on illegal street racing.

The department has arrested 11 people and issued 55 citations the past few weeks in connection to illegal street racing.

Any Individuals involved with organizing or spectating illegal street races can also be charged. Organizers or spectators can be fined up to $1,000.

Illegal street racers can be arrested and even charged with a felony if they attempt to evade police and in turn become a public safety hazard.
