POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they’ve arrested more than a dozen people while busting a drug trafficking operation in the Hudson Valley.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports city officials announced Wednesday that 18 people were made this week and heroin, cocaine, marijuana, four handguns and about $25,000 in cash was seized.

Authorities say most of the people arrested on drug charges are from Poughkeepsie, but the investigation extended into the town of Red Hook, in northern Dutchess County.

The ages of those charged ranged from 17 to 52.

The drug bust was a joint operation conducted by local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
