TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a man was found dead from an apparent suicide following a four-hour standoff with Florida deputies.
The Tallahassee Democrat reports that the Leon County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team surrounded the home Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say deputies had responded to the home that morning to serve an arrest warrant for a probation violation. Following attempts to contact and negotiate with the man, SWAT members used a series of flash bangs and entered the home.
Authorities say the man was dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted wound. Deputies didn’t immediately release the man’s name.
