GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have arrested the general manager of a North Carolina restaurant and accused him of stealing more than $26,000 from the store.

The Gaston Gazette reports police in Gastonia say 28-year-old Christopher Joseph Rogers is charged with felony embezzlement. Arrest warrants say the money was stolen between Nov. 17 and Wednesday.

Arrest warrants also say that in addition to the $26,230 stolen from the restaurant, a search turned up another $3,362 inside Rogers’ car.

Police arrested Rogers on Wednesday. He was released from jail on a $25,000 unsecured bond. It’s not known if he has an attorney.
