WESTMINSTER, Calif. (AP) - Police say they have arrested a Southern California woman on a homicide charge following the death of her 4-month-old son.

KABC-TV reports the father of the child called Westminster police on Tuesday night after the baby was found to be unresponsive and not breathing.

Officers made attempts to revive the baby, but the child was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police commander Cameron Knauerhaze says the mother was with the baby when officers arrived at the residence, and the child had traumatic injuries. The types of injures were not specified.

Police say they arrested 29-year-old Thi Nhat Ha Nguyen on Wednesday based on evidence at the scene. It wasn’t immediately known if she has an attorney. Police say they are not looking for other suspects.
