WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina investigators are looking into the deaths of two people.
The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office says in a news release sent to media outlets that deputies responded to a call about a shooting in the Fines Creek area on Wednesday, and when they reached the scene, they found two bodies. A news release from the sheriff’s office said the two had suffered gunshot wounds.
Authorities identified the dead as 36-year-old Nina Christina Martin and 56-year-old James Mark Ferguson Jr. Investigators say that Martin and Ferguson knew each other and that this appears to be an isolated incident.
The investigation is continuing.
