Woman struck, killed by train

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a woman was struck and killed by a passenger train in Florida.

News outlets report that an Amtrak train hit the 60-year-old woman in Lakeland around noon Thursday.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the woman was walking through a railroad crossing when she was hit.
