CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Gov. Matt Mead has appointed a new Circuit Judge for the Second Judicial District in Carbon County.
Susan Stipe will replace Judge Jane Eakin, who is retiring next February.
Stipe is currently an assistant district attorney in the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office. She has served as a senior assistant attorney general in the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office and has worked in private practice.
She received both her bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Wyoming.
Stipe says in a statement that she feels exceptionally honored by the appointment and that she will try to execute her duties as a judge with honor and integrity.
