PHOENIX (AP) - Police have identified a taxi driver who died after a multiple-vehicle crash in south Phoenix.

They say 34-year-old Alex Kennedy was pronounced dead at a hospital after Saturday morning’s accident.

Witnesses told police that a taxi crossed into oncoming traffic near 23rd and Southern avenues.

The taxi collided with an SUV and another vehicle.

Police say it’s still unclear if impairment was a factor in the crash.

They say the people in the other two vehicles didn’t sustain life-threatening injuries.
