LAKEWOOD, Ohio (AP) - Police say a suspect in a fatal shooting in Cleveland has been arrested in a suburb after a series of assaults and carjackings.

Police say a 27-year-old man who is a suspect in the slaying and carjackings is in custody.

Cleveland police say the crime spree began around 9 a.m. Saturday with the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man at an apartment building on the city’s east side. Police say the suspect committed a carjacking nearby followed by a second carjacking at a Lake Erie marina.
