BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) - More than two dozen people have been forced from their New York City homes after a pre-dawn fire broke out inside one of the houses.

WABC-TV reports the blaze broke out around 1 a.m. Thursday in a home in Brooklyn’s Cypress Hills neighborhood and spread to two adjacent houses.

Two people have suffered minor injuries.

The fire has left 26 people displaced. They’re being helped by the American Red Cross.

Investigators are trying to determine what started the fire.
