A man threw a bike in front an Orange Line train at a Northeast Metro station Sunday night, damaging a railcar and causing a four-hour delay, authorities said.

The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. at the Minnesota Avenue station. Surveillance video footage showed the suspect picking up a Limebike bicycle that had been left on the platform at throwing it onto the tracks below.

The train hit the bike 90 seconds later, damaging the undercarriage and requiring the evacuation of the passengers. No one was injured in the incident.

Metro Transit Police identified the suspect as Demarcus Joseph Graves, 50. He was charged with felony malicious destruction of property.
