SEATTLE (AP) - Police say a man died after shots were fired on a street near Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood.

The Seattle Police Department says officers responded to reports of shots fired Friday afternoon near Rainier Avenue South and South Genesee Street.

Police say another caller reported a man with life-threatening gunshot wounds had arrived at Harborview Medical Center.

Police say officers determined the two calls were connected and sent detectives to both locations.

Police say the man died of his injuries despite life-saving efforts.

Police say officers arrested two of three suspects in a foot chase after the suspect vehicle was spotted later Friday afternoon near Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street.

Police say a gun was recovered near the scene.
