SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Two Savannah men face mandatory life sentences after a jury convicted them of murder in a 2015 triple slaying at a public housing complex.
Jurors on Friday found 24-year-old James Angelo Hampton guilty in the deaths of all three victims - Kiana Marshall, Alexis Kitchens and Corey Martin. A co-defendant, 20-year-old Dwayne Leonard Abney, was convicted only in the killings of the two women. They were found dead inside their home at Carver Village.
The Savannah Morning News reports prosecutors said the slayings resulted from a dispute over rent.
Superior Court Judge Louisa Abbot will sentence the defendants later. Georgia law requires a sentence of life in prison, either with or without a chance of parole.
