KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) - Kennewick officials have denied a business license application for a strip club after the owners failed to turn in the necessary paperwork in time.

Community planning director Greg McCormick says the city had to make a decision on Friday for the City Stars Gentlemen’s Club’s business license.

McCormick told the Herald the owners didn’t turn in construction plans for interior improvements in the building.

Another application can be submitted once plans are turned in, work is finished and inspected.

Owners of the proposed club have applied for a liquor license for a sports bar that would share a share a wall with the strip club inside a former casino.

The owners had planned to open in December.
