CARLISLE, S.C. (AP) - Officials in Union County are investigating after a man was found dead in his burned home near Carlisle.
Firefighters were called to the house fire Tuesday night.
Coroner William Holcombe told local media outlets that 88-year-old Acie Johnson died at the scene.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The sheriff’s office and the State Law Enforcement Division are helping in the investigation.
An autopsy is planned to determine how Johnson died.
