ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - A 28-year-old Arlington man has been charged after police say a person was found dead inside a home.

Arlington County Police say Heber Amaya-Gallo was arrested Monday on a first-degree murder charge in the death of 55-year-old Michael Wiggins, who is also from Arlington.

Police were called that afternoon to the residence, where officers discovered Wiggins’ body. Authorities say they learned that an argument between roommates became physical, and Wiggins was killed. The medical examiner’s office will determine the official cause of death.

Two other people who were taken in for questioning by police were said to be witnesses. Police say they have not been charged.

It’s unclear if Amaya-Gallo has an attorney.
