JUPITER, Fla. (AP) - A 27-year-old man who rented the home where three people were fatally shot has been arrested on a federal firearms charge.
Jupiter Police Chief Frank Kitzerow says the FBI arrested Charles Vorpagel Thursday afternoon, four days after the bodies of 25-year-old Sean Henry, 20-year-old Kelli Doherty and 24-year-old Brandi El-Salhy were found inside the home.
Kitzerow declined to release additional information about the arrest. He said authorities are waiting to question another person who was found shot a short distance from the home the night of the killings. That person remains in the hospital.
The Palm Beach Post (https://pbpo.st/2kauwtY ) reports Vorpagel’s connection to the shootings remains unclear. Police have said they have a “person of interest” in the slayings.
A local bar raised money for the victim’s families on Thursday night.
