QUINCY, Mass. (AP) - Two people were killed and another seriously wounded when an early morning fire swept through a home in a Boston suburb.

Authorities in Quincy responded to the blaze shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Officials say firefighters tried to rescue the people inside the home, but were ordered out because the danger.

Officials say a man and a woman were found dead inside the house after the fire was knocked down. A third person who was found outside the home was taken to a hospital with burns and smoke inhalation.

The names of the victims and the condition of the survivor have not been released. Police believe the survivor may have jumped out a window.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
