MILFORD, Del. (AP) - Delaware police say four suspects have been arrested after a months-long drug investigation.

Police say officers stopped William Via Jr.’s car just after 1 a.m. on Sunday with three passengers inside. One of the passengers, Parish Alexander, ran from the car and was arrested nearby after officers found a torn bag of heroin he’d tried to discard while running, and the bag’s contents on his clothing. Once Via and the other passengers, Michael Allison and Staci Via, were detained officers searched the car and found 24 grams of heroin.

The four were each charged with drug offenses and conspiracy. Alexander was also charged with resisting arrest and tampering with evidence.
