SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) - Police say they’ve made an arrest after someone shot at a Sandy Springs man and stole his SUV.

Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham tells WSB-TV (https://2wsb.tv/2kCQZw8 ) the homeowners were awakened by their security alarm just after midnight Monday. The security system indicated that a basement door had been opened.

The wife called 911. The man heard the garage door open and went to see what was happening. Someone shot at the man when he went outside to investigate, but he ducked back inside uninjured.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/2lDAfZQ ) Demarco Parham of Atlanta was arrested and faces charges including home invasion and armed robbery. It wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney.

Police were still seeking other suspects.



Police also recovered the couple’s Jeep Grand Cherokee.
