DECATUR, Ala. (AP) - Two of three inmates who escaped from a northern Alabama work release center are back in custody.

The Alabama Department of Corrections said in a news release that agents apprehended 38-year-old Jonathan Keith Kennedy and 45-year-old Michael Ray Morrison about 1 p.m. Tuesday near Hospitality Park in Decatur.

Authorities said they were taken into custody without incident.

A search continues for the third inmate, 49-year-old James Brent Brown, who was serving a 99-year term for a manslaughter charge out of Morgan County. He would have been eligible for parole in December 2018.

Morrison was sentenced to 20 years in July for a third-degree burglary, while Kennedy is also serving a 20-year sentence after he was convicted in May 2013 of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
