DETROIT (AP) - An activist group is demand more transparency from the Detroit Police Department following an officer’s fatal shooting of a 19-year-old following a car and foot chase.

The Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality released a statement Tuesday demanding the officer’s suspension, name, race and disciplinary record, a drug test of the officer and the release of dash-cam footage before the shooting.

The department placed the officer on administrative leave but hasn’t released his name.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner identified the shooting victim as Raynard Burton.

Police spokesman Michael Woody says homicide detectives and internal affairs are investigating the shooting. The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office will decide on any charges.

Police Chief James Craig said Monday that Burton lunged at the officer, who fired one shot, striking Burton in the torso.
