Reacting to a tweet by Donald Trump complaining about “illegal leaks coming out of Washington,” actor Mark Ruffalo trolled the president on Twitter Tuesday by saying the scripts for the comic-book movies he’s in are better secured than sensitive national security material at the White House.

“.@Marvel takes more precaution protecting Avengers scripts then you and #Flynn do dealing with national security. #YouKnew,” Mr. Ruffalo, who plays Bruce Banner/the Incredible Hulk in the movies, tweeted referring to Michael Flynn, the Trump national security adviser.

Mr. Flynn resigned Monday night after revelations that he had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about the nature of a conversation he had with a Russian government official prior to the inauguration.

Mr. Ruffalo’s comment was in response to a tweet from Mr. Trump that read, “The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?”

An outspoken liberal environmental activist who opposes the Dakota Access Pipeline, Mr. Ruffalo’s Twitter stream in recent months has been prolific with links to articles criticizing the Trump administration.
