BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they’re investigating the fatal stabbing of a 31-year-old man at a Binghamton apartment complex last weekend.

The Press & Sun-Bulletin of Binghamton reports (https://press.sn/2lG6dUW ) that police say they responded around 2:30 Sunday to reports of disturbance in the parking lot at the Town and Country Apartments.

By the time officers had arrived at the scene, Santos Echevarria, of Binghamton, had been transported to a local hospital, where he pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Officials haven’t released details of what led to the stabbing.

Police say they’re seeking a 25-year-old Binghamton man who has been identified as a person of interest.
