VENTURA, Calif. (AP) - Prosecutors say no criminal charges will be filed against the driver of a firefighting vehicle that overturned last year, killing Ventura County fire engineer Ryan Osler.

The 38-year-old was a passenger in the water tender that crashed in September while on its way to a blaze near Vandenberg Air Force Base. Osler died at the scene. The driver, firefighter Adam Price, was treated at a hospital and released the same day.

The Ventura County Star reports (https://bit.ly/2lKMV0O ) prosecutors said Tuesday that there was no evidence of criminal negligence by Price.

Osler, an 18-year veteran of the Ventura County Fire Department, was stationed in Moorpark.
