HELENA-WEST HELENA, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say the burning of a police car in Helena-West Helena was arson.
Helena-West Helena police say no one was hurt after the cruiser was set afire early Tuesday because the officer who was on duty was not in the car at the time.
Police say the person responsible poured gasoline onto the car before setting it on fire and left behind a red plastic gas can.
The car was valued at $28,000 and is considered a total loss.
