MAGNA, Utah (AP) - Police are questioning several witnesses who were at a party in Magna after an 18-year-old man was shot and killed in front of a house in the southwest Salt Lake City suburb.

Police say officers responded to reports of several shots fired about 11 p.m. Thursday at 3231 S. 8820 West.

Witnesses told detectives two men in a sedan drove up in front of the residence and began talking to the victim before opening fire.

Police say he walked back inside the house before he collapsed. Emergency crews tried to resuscitate him before transporting him to a local hospital where he later died.

Investigators have been unable to determine the relationship between the victim and suspects but they don’t believe the shooting was gang-related. They’re looking for two adult black males but haven’t released any other details.
