SUN LAKES, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say two people found dead inside a Sun Lakes home have been identified as a man and his mother and it’s being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s officials say deputies responded to the home Saturday after a family member requested a welfare check.

They say the bodies were discovered inside the home and there weren’t any signs of forced entry.

Sheriff’s officials say it appears 34-year-old Brent McClain fatally shot 62-year-old Lori Peeples and then turned the gun on himself.

They say McClain and Peeples lived together in the home.

Sun Lakes is about 25 miles southeast of Phoenix.
