FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Police are warning that more counterfeit money is popping up in the Fargo area.
The fake currency is known as movie money. KFGO-AM (https://bit.ly/2kuuj4p ) reports the counterfeit $50 bills don’t feel real and are marked “FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY.”
The bills, called “prop money,” are available for purchase online and cost about $1 per fake bill. Some of the bills have a thick blue line across the bill to mark it as fake.
Last month a 22-year old Fargo man was arrested for allegedly passing $100 bills that were also prop money.
