FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A driver found shot inside a car that crashed into a home in Fayetteville has died.

Fayetteville Police said in a news release that 26-year-old Rakeem McGoogan died Sunday afternoon in the hospital.

Authorities say McGoogan was trying to drive around 9 p.m. Saturday when his car ran off the road and into a house. The people in the home were not injured.



Investigators say 20-year-old Brian Martin Jr. was arrested Monday in Raeford and charged with murder

Police are looking for a second suspect after officers tried to stop a car with 27-year-old Demonte Jones inside on Monday, but the driver eluded police. Jones is also charged with murder.

Authorities didn’t give a motive for the killing. It wasn’t known if Martin had a lawyer.
