Chester police officer accidentally shoots himself in leg

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - Officials say a police officer was hurt when he accidentally shot himself near Philadelphia.

Police tell WPVI-TV (https://6abc.cm/2kKnYmg ) that the officer shot himself at the Chester Police Station around 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Officials say the officer was taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center with a graze wound to the leg.

Police did not identify the officer.

Officials say the Chester officer’s injuries are not serious. Police are investigating.
