ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities have identified a missing fisherman whose body was pulled from Lake Hartwell.

Anderson County Deputy Coroner Don McCown tells local media outlets that 48-year-old Chester Earl Causey Hawkins died just a few houses down from his own while he was fishing sometime Tuesday. His girlfriend reported him missing when Hawkins didn’t return as usual from fishing in the early afternoon.

McCown says Hawkins had a seizure disorder and is believed to have suffered a seizure and fallen into the water while trying to retrieve fish. There were no signs of foul play, and no autopsy is planned.

McCown says divers found Hawkins 32 feet away from the shore in water about 7 feet deep.
