WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Police are investigating after two men were fatally shot in Wilmington.
Local news outlets report that city police say the two men were shot Tuesday morning when gunfire erupted on a street.
Police spokeswoman Sgt. Andrea Janvier says officers were called to the scene where they found one of the victims dead on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head.
Janvier says the second victim was also found with a gunshot wound to his arm and chest areas. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The men were identified as 23-year-old Ainsley Cumberbatch Jr. and 23-year-old Jamiel Congo, both of Wilmington
Police closed the street to traffic for most of the day as they continued to investigate. So far, no arrests have been made.
