PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A judge has scheduled a trial date for a former Mississippi sheriff’s deputy charged with having sex with an inmate in a county jail.
The SunHerald (https://bit.ly/2m7Kztl ) reports veteran Jackson County deputy Bradley Scott Davis is set for trial on April 17.
The 36-year-old Moss Point man has pleaded not guilty to a charge of unlawful sexual activity.
He is accused of having oral sex with an inmate while he was on duty at the Jackson County jail over two weeks in June. Davis is out of jail on a $10,000 bond.
Davis was one of two former Jackson County corrections officers accused of having sex with an inmate.
