KEOKUK, Iowa (AP) - A July trial has been scheduled for a Keokuk man accused of killing his mother in the home their shared.

Court records say attorneys for 23-year-old Devan Williams filed a plea of not guilty Monday to a charge of first-degree murder. He’s accused of choking and suffocating 54-year-old Lori Williams. Her body was found at the home on Jan. 30.

His trial is set to begin July 11.
