PHOENIX (AP) - Federal authorities say a 41-year-old man sought in an Arizona homicide has been arrested in Mexico and extradited to the United States.

The U.S. Marshals Service says Luis Dagoberto Sanchez-Velasquez was sought on a warrant charging him with homicide and burglary in the stabbing death of his nephew during a 2008 break-in in Phoenix.

The agency says Sanchez-Velasquez was extradited Thursday after being arrested in May 2015 in Oaxaca (wuh-HAH’-kah), Oaxaca.
