GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A grand jury says a jail on the Mississippi Gulf Coast needs several repairs in its tower and booking area, including replacement of cracked windows.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/2l3w7gL ) that inmates throw things at the panels of glass and Plexiglas.

Warden Evan Hubbard says more than 60 windows need to be replaced

In a report released this week, the grand jury says the jail has problems with electronic equipment installed years ago. Peterson says officials have been unable to get the company that installed the equipment to make repairs.

The grand jury says the jail has adequate security and management of inmates.
