LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) - Jonathan Kasibabu scored 16 points, added nine rebounds, and Fairfield closed out the regular season with a 62-58 win over Niagara on Sunday.

Curtis Cobb finished with 15 points and Jerry Johnson Jr. added 10 for the Stags (16-13, 11-9 MAAC).

Fairfield controlled the game with its defense, holding the Purple Eagles (9-22, 6-1) to just 31.7 percent shooting overall and 5 of 25 from 3-point range.

Marvin Prochet led Niagara with 22 points, Matt Scott added 15, and the two combined for 63.7 percent of the Purple Eagles offensive output.

Fairfield led by eight at halftime but the Purple Eagles battled back for a 46-44 lead after a Chris Barton layup with eight minutes left. Kasibabu answered with a layup of his own 17 seconds later, sparking a 14-3 Stags run which gave them a 58-49 advantage with 1:21 left.

Niagara managed one final comeback attempt, but ran out of time.
