TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an Amber Alert for a boy who was abducted during a carjacking in Tucson has been cancelled after the child was found unharmed.

Police say a suspect sexually assaulted the mother of 3-year-old Jonas Mejia before forcing her into a vehicle with the boy inside early Tuesday and then driving off.

The woman was able to jump out of the car when the vehicle slowed down and the suspect drove away with the child still in the back seat.

Police later located the vehicle nearby and found the child safe inside.

The suspect has not yet been found.

The suspect is described as 6 feet tall and in his 40s. He was last seen wearing all black.
