ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police in Albuquerque say a man is in custody in connection with the death of a cab driver.

They say 26-year-old Luke Waruszewski has been booked into jail on suspicion of an open count of murder.

Police say officers were dispatched to a grocery store’s parking lot Monday night and found 58-year-old Larry Mullin dead at the scene.

They say it appears Waruszewski called for a cab to pick him up at the grocery store.

Police say they received a 911 call that Waruszewski stole the cab and injured the driver.

They say a black folding knife saturated with blood was found in the suspect’s front pocket when he was arrested.

Police say Mullin leaves behind a wife and two children.

Waruszewski doesn’t have a lawyer yet for his case.
