FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) - A Quincy police officer facing charges stemming from a three-hour armed standoff with law enforcement at his Raynham home has been ordered held without bail.

The Taunton Daily Gazette (https://bit.ly/2kxdzcB ) reports that a judge on Thursday rejected defense arguments that 51-year-old Keith Wilbur does not pose a threat to the public.

A grand jury indicted Wilbur on charges including armed assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon following the Jan. 16 standoff.

No one was injured and responding officers de-escalated the situation without using force.

In arguing for holding Wilbur, prosecutors said that the 19-year veteran had 74 guns registered with Raynham police but 77 firearms were recovered from his home.
