CATOOSA, Okla. (AP) - Firefighters say a fire at a chemical research building at the Port of Catoosa damaged offices, but did not affect any chemicals at the plant.

Rogers County Emergency Management Director Scotty Stokes told reporters the fire was reported about 2 a.m. at an Advanced Research Chemicals office building.

Fire Capt. Stan May says there were no injuries and the fire was mostly contained in the second-floor of the building and hazardous materials crews were sent to the scene as a precaution and two highways and the entrance to the port were closed for a few hours, but no chemicals were affected.

The company’s website says it provides services to various industries, including military defense, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, automotive components, textiles, agricultural solutions and industrial cleaners.
