HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) - Jordan Swopshire scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds as Colgate snapped Navy’s eight-game win streak with a 55-52 victory on Saturday.

Swopshire was 4 of 6 from the floor - all 3-pointers - for the Raiders (8-17, 6-6 Patriot League). Sean O’Brien added 10 points and Malcolm Regisford led the team with 11 rebounds in addition to his seven points. The team averaged 45.7 percent shooting from the floor and 85.7 percent from the line.

Swopshire sank a pair of 3-pointers and Regisford made a dunk to help Colgate to an 18-7 start and the Raiders led the rest of the way to a 31-23 advantage at the break.

Navy closed it to 53-52 with 48 seconds to play but Shawn Anderson missed two shots after that and O’Brien sank two free throws with six seconds left to keep Colgate on top.

Anderson led the Midshipmen (13-11, 8-4) with 12 points.
