NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run.
NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/2kGOmMm ) that the crash happened Saturday night on Earhart Boulevard.
Police said the vehicle struck the 58-year-old man as he crossed Earhart at South Galvez Street around 8:20 p.m. Saturday. They said the driver fled without stopping to check on the man.
Investigators say the vehicle - described as a black, compact car - should have damage to the front end and possibly a smashed windshield.
