GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) - The case involving a Great Falls woman charged in the stabbing death of her boyfriend has been dismissed.
The Great Falls Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/Eqw419 ) 53-year-old Diana Jo McClammy’s trial was set to begin Tuesday, but prosecutors informed the court they would not be able to effectively prosecute her because of her claims of self-defense.
McClammy was charged with negligent homicide after police found her boyfriend with a stab wound to his chest at the couple’s apartment May 22, 2015. Louis Dymon died at a hospital.
Public defender Matthew McKittrick said Tuesday the evidence showed that McClammy was being physically abused on the night of the killing.
Prosecutors did not comment about the case Tuesday.
